ABSTRACT:
The load carrying capabilities of a jet engine oil consisting of an ester of a C.sub.4 -C.sub.12 monocarboxylic acid and a polyol selected from pentaerythritol, dipentaerythritol, tripentaerythritol, trimethylol propane, trimethylol methane, trimethylol butane, neopentylglycol and mixtures thereof, are increased by incorporating into the jet engine oil from 4 to 8 weight percent of a soluble methyl phenyl polysiloxane having a kinematic viscosity ranging from 20 to 2,000 centistokes at 25.degree. C.
