An isothiocyanate vapor-generating agent containing a solution of an isothiocyanate dissolved in an oily liquid having a vapor pressure of 2 mmHg or less at 30.degree. C. A germ-desroying treatment method using vapors of an isothiocyanate and a germ-destroying treatment apparatus are also disclosed.
