The 1-acyloxy-6-hydroxy-IsoMB-530B lactones of the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a group of the formula ##STR2## wherein R.sup.2 is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkyl group.
