ABSTRACT:
An inverter apparatus wherein a sine wave AC voltage is produced from an output of a converter circuit which converts an input DC voltage into positive and negative sine half wave voltages of a voltage value corresponding to a width of a driving pulse. First and second switch circuits are provided for output lines of the positive and negative sine half wave voltages of the converter circuit. A plurality of pulses are generated within a half cycle of the AC output voltage of the converter circuit, and based on the pulse signal, when the positive sine half wave voltage is to be formed, the second switch circuit is put into an off state while the first switch circuit and the converter circuit are driven, but when the negative sine half wave voltage is to be formed, the first switch circuit is put into an off state while the second switch circuit and the converter circuit are driven. The width of each pulse of the pulse signal is modulated so that the AC output voltage may be a sine wave AC voltage.
