ABSTRACT:
A method of therapeutically administering certain BZ.sub.1 specific trifluorobenzodiazepines in order to maximize the BZ.sub.1 effects and minimize the BZ.sub.2 effects on the human central nervous system in order to maximize the anti-anxiety, anticonvulsant and hypnotic effects and minimize the ataxic and incoordination effects of the drug. Also, a method of sublingual administration of trifluorobenzodiazepines and certain other compounds in order to decrease unwanted dealkylated metabolites.
