ABSTRACT:
An artificial intraocular lens or optic is attached to the capsular membrane or iris of the eye with adhesive after the human lens is removed or upon removal of a previously implanted artificial intraocular lens. The optic also may be attached to the iris with adhesive with the human lens in place to correct for deficiencies of the eye. The lens implant may have holes or wells for receiving adhesive for attachment purposes.
