An F1interspecific hybrid ofCornus kousa×C. floridathat is distinguished by its large bracts, a compact and dense attitude, wider than tall, and a flowering habit in the middle of the blooming season for the commercially available cultivars ofCornus kousa×C. florida.The cultivar has a high level of winter hardiness, and is highly resistant to dogwood anthracnose and the common dogwood borer.
