ABSTRACT:
An indwelling needle is provided which has a simple structure and is capable of securely mounting a needle tip protective tool on the tip portion of an internal needle. The indwelling needle A consists of an external needle10including a cannula11and a housing12, an internal needle20including a metal needle21and a hub22and a needle tip protective tool30. The needle tip protective tool30is mounted on the housing12with the metal needle21inserted into an inner section so that the metal needle21can be removed together with the internal needle20from the external needle10. A main body31of the needle tip protective tool30has a cylindrical shape. Window sections34a, 34bare provided on opposing circumferential surfaces of the main body31. On a rear end marginal section of window section34a, a movable gripped section32is provided whose outer section32bextends toward the outside of the main body31and whose end consists of a grip section32c. The gripped section32cand the grip section33care latchable with each other within main body31.
