ABSTRACT:
An internal combustion engine is provided with an oil filter10through which lubricant oil having pulsating pressure passes. The oil filter10has an oil filter body11attached to a filter base20, and a cover30formed integrally with the filter base20and circumferentially surrounding the oil filter body11. The cover30is provided with a window part36through which a space35formed between the oil filter body11and the cover30opens outward. The cover30has a circumferentially endless annular end wall33provided between the window part36and an end wall33a. The cover30has a reinforcing member41provided with an opening part46and attached to the outside surface of the cover30so that the opening part46coincides with the window part36of the cover30. The oil filter10can be properly cooled and sounds radiated by the oil filter10and the cover30can be reduced.
