ABSTRACT:
An internal combustion engine has a camshaft holder20attached to a cylinder head1, and two camshafts11and12are rotatably supported by the camshaft holder20. A high-pressure pump60has a driving shaft63rotatively driven by the camshaft. An accessory holder30provided with a mounting seat40to which the high-pressure fuel pump60is attached is formed integrally with a lower camshaft holder21included in the camshaft holder20. The mounting seat40is formed integrally with the accessory holder30and is provided with a through hole41in which the driving shaft63is received. Thus the cylinder head1is formed in a small size and a light weight. The accessory holder30can be formed with a high rigidity in a small size.
