ABSTRACT:
A cooling system for an internal combustion engine1is disclosed in which an electronically controlled flow control valve9is used to control the flow of coolant exiting the engine1. The electronically controlled flow control valve9is able to control the cooling of the engine1irrespective of the speed at which a pump2used to urge coolant to flow into the engine1is rotated by a drive belt3connected to an output4from the engine1.
