ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to an intermittent stitching device for sewing machines which is composed of a mechanical stopping device for stopping the upper drive shaft of the sewing machine at a determined position and an electric circuit for controlling the operation of the stopping device so as to enable the sewing machine to produce desired intermittent stitches, in addition to the making of continuous stitches.
