ABSTRACT:
A tripping device of a circuit-breaker is detachable so as to be able to cover ranges of excess currents with a small number of calibers each represented by an interchangeable tripping device. For this purpose, the magnetic excess current detection circuits are made in two detachable parts, one fixed to the tripping device, the other installed floating on the housing of the device to be controlled whose interchangeability permits the automatic changing of the magnetic characteristics of the tripping device.
