ABSTRACT:
A leak-free, insulated basement window assembly which includes a prefabried panel comprising an insulating member and impact resistant strip joined to the insulating member. The panel has a pre-cut opening which is adapted to be aligned with a window opening in a masonry basement wall. A plastic window unit, which serves as an insulating membrane, is inserted into the opening with the window unit being located adjacent the outer basement wall.
