ABSTRACT:
A method of providing a refuge for caterpillar larvae, which are susceptible to plants expressing delta endotoxin ofBacillus thuringiensisso as to delay and possibly prevent the susceptible species from developing resistance to the toxin. Also provided is a method of cultivatingpaulowniatrees so as to provide an effective refuge for the susceptible caterpillar larvae.
