ABSTRACT:
To provide a thin input device capable of preventing foreign materials from entering into a gap between an input panel and a chassis and thus preventing malfunctioning of the input panel. A first detection base3is made of a thin material and has a planar size larger than a second detection base4. A chassis8includes a side portion9opposed to a side surface of a touch panel2and a supporting portion10opposed to a bottom surface. The touch panel2is received in the inside of the chassis8in a state where an inner surface3aof the first detection base3is opposed to a top surface9aon an input side of the side portion9of the chassis so as to cover a gap14between the side portion9of the chassis8and a side surface of the touch panel2with the first detection base3from the input side of the chassis8. The inner surface3aof the first detection base3is attached to the top surface9aof the side portion9.
