ABSTRACT:
There are provided a retaining member4having a claw portion4aengageable to and disengageable from a recessed portion15formed at an ink cartridge mounting portion and a valve body6biased by a spring7provided at an ink supply port3, maintaining a normally closed state and resiliently abutting the claw portion4ato the recessed portion15by being opened in a state of being inserted with an ink supply needle. Thereby, an ink cartridge providing amounting feeling and dispensing with a spring member for assisting detachment can be provided.
