ABSTRACT:
An improvement of an information recording medium comprising a substrate and a recording layer provided thereon which is capable of writing information with a laser beam is disclosed. The improvement comprises the recording layer comprising a metal layer containing Se and Te and a TeO.sub.x layer (1.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.2) deposited on the metal layer.
