ABSTRACT:
An induction heating apparatus capable of stably operating at least one switching element contained therein is provided with a control circuit5which comprises a resonance waveform detector6for detecting a high frequency AC waveform supplied from an inverter circuit3to a heating coil4to produce a detection signal DS1corresponding to high frequency AC power waveform; a phase comparator8for producing an adjusting signal PH corresponding to a phase difference between detection signal DS1from resonance waveform detector6and drive signal D1from drive circuit 7; and an addition circuit13for superimposing the drive signal D1from drive circuit7on detection signal DS1from resonance waveform detector6to supply to phase comparator8the superimposed signal on a level same as or over operation threshold value VTHfor the phase comparator8.
