ABSTRACT:
An agent for inhibiting bone resorption comprising an indole derivative of the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein each ring of A and B is optionally substituted, R is a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group or an acyl group, and A is a hydroxymethyl group or an esterified or amidated carboxyl group; or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, diluent or excipient.
