ABSTRACT:
A indexable insert (1) of the present invention has a structure including at least a rake face (2) and a bearing surface (5), the indexable insert (1) including a substrate and a coating layer disposed on the substrate, wherein the coating layer includes one or more layers, and at least one layer of the one or more layers covers the entire surface of the substrate and satisfies the relationship F1<F2, wherein F1represents the residual stress in the rake face (2) and F2represents the residual stress in the bearing surface (5).
