ABSTRACT:
An inclined screen tray tower having one or more inclined screen trays, in which a liquid is passed downwardly onto said screen tray to form a film of said liquid on each of said screens and gas is passed through said liquid films so as to be absorbed by said liquid, characterized in that a plurality of cylinders are arranged side by side on each of said tray screens in such a manner that the longitudinal axis of each of said cylinders extends in the direction of inclination of each of said tray screens, each of said cylinders being made of a netting with metallic or synthetic resinous wires each arranged to make an angle of about 45.degree. with the longitudinal axis of said cylinders.
