The glass bulb containing filaments is closed at one end by the exhaust-sealed portion, with a shoulder having a substantially truncated conical appearance connecting the exhaust-sealed portion and the substantially cylindrical major portion, wherein the angle formed between the plane orthogonal to the axis of the glass bulb and the surface of the shoulder, i.e. the inclination of the surface of the shoulder, is designed to be 45.degree.or less.
