ABSTRACT:
Disclosed are insecticidal compositions for controlling Scarabaeide comprising an effective amount of sporangium-free spores of pathogens that cause milky disease in said Scarabaeide. Also disclosed is a method for producing infective milky disease bacillus spores in vitro in liquid media containing starch, trechalose, yeast extract, K.sub.2 HPO.sub.4, and CaCO.sub.3 during the vegetative growth stage and MnSO.sub.4 and optionally an ion-exchange resin as sporulation adjuvants.
