ABSTRACT:
A microwave radio frequency signal is coupled from a coaxial line to a circular waveguide by an in line, slot-fed, open-ended, dipole termination of the coaxial-line, imbedded in a low loss dielectric material in the waveguide to excite the waveguide in a TE.sub.11 mode suitable for exciting a low backlobe dielectric rod radiator.
