ABSTRACT:
An impeller is provided that is adapted to be rotationally driven, and which is constructed of a resiliently stretchable elastomeric material, such that, with increased centrifugal force that is applied to the impeller vanes with increased rotation of the impeller, the impeller increases in diameter and provides increased output performance beyond the output performance of a non-stretchable impeller of the same general size as the impeller at rest.
