ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to a new and distinct variety of New Guinea Impatiens plant, known by the cultivar name Mohawk, and discovered by me in commercial greenhouses in Fremont, Calif. Mohawk is not close to any commercial varieties. Mohawk is particularly characterized by a slightly dark foliage with no variegation, which reddens slightly under high light, a medium size red-purple flower, very floriferous, and a spreading growth habit.
