ABSTRACT:
An impaction classifier is provided for generating submicron sized liquid droplets. A liquid spray of liquid droplets from a primary nebulizer is directed at an impaction device, producing droplets of smaller size. These smaller droplets are directed into a chamber and around a shroud where larger droplets are separated out. The smaller droplets then exit the chamber through one or more outlet ports.
