ABSTRACT:
A fastener impact driver device10includes a fastener engagement member12having a plurality of projections14disposed about a lower portion16that engages a corresponding peripheral portion18of a fastener20. The device10further includes a positioning member22having an upper portion24that ultimately receives a force thereupon, and a lower portion26that engages a cooperating upper portion28of the fastener engagement member12whereby a force such a hammer strike is imparted upon the upper portion24of the positioning member22to drive the projections14of the fastener engagement member12into the head44of the fastener20without damage of the fastener engagement member12, whereupon the positioning member22is removed from the fastener engagement member12and a hand tool is removably secured to the fastener engagement member12to impart rotary motion to the member12and the fastener20thereby removing the fastener20from or urging the fastener20into a workpiece.
