ABSTRACT:
The present invention is an imaging element which includes a support and at least one image-forming layer superposed on the support. The imaging element includes at least one transparent electrically-conductive layer and a transparent magnetic recording layer overlying the transparent electrically-conductive layer. The electrically conductive layer is composed of both electrically-conductive granular metal-containing colloidal particles having an average particle diameter of less than or equal to 0.05 .mu.m and electrically-conductive acicular metal-containing particles having a cross-sectional diameter of less than or equal to 0.02 .mu.m and an aspect ratio greater than or equal to 5:1 dispersed in a first film-forming binder. The transparent magnetic recording layer is composed of magnetic particles dispersed in a second film-forming binder.
