ABSTRACT:
An image transmission control method for a facsimile apparatus reduces procedures before and after the sending of an image signal to require less time for the transmission of the image signal, thus improving a network utilization efficiency. The transmission side, when receiving a CED signal transmitted from the reception side, sends a particular tone signal to reduce the procedures before and after the sending of an image signal. NSF, NSS, EOP and MCF signals are communicated between the transmission side and the reception side at a high rate. These signals have a shorter preamble. A suitable communication rate is determined based on the results of learning by use of the previous communication rate and an internally provided model. Whether the reduced procedures are used is also determined from transmission conditions.
