ABSTRACT:
There is provided an image processing apparatus including a first principal portion extracting device which extracts a principal portion of an image based on image data, a display device which displays an extraction result of the principal portion of the image extracted by the first principal portion extracting device, input device for inputting first instruction information for indicating whether the extraction result displayed on the display device is correct and also inputting second instruction information for indicating a region to be newly extracted as a principal portion, and second principal portion extracting device which extracts a new principal portion based on the second instruction information inputted by the input device.
