ABSTRACT:
An image forming method is provided which is structured in such a way that a toner image carried to a transferring position by a toner image holding member for holding and carrying the toner image from a toner image forming position to the toner image transferring position is transferred to a predetermined recording medium. The image forming method includes carrying a toner image into close contact with a recording medium and transferring and fixing the toner image while heating the toner image. A recording medium is employed which has a thermoplastic transparent resin layer on at least a surface of a base thereof on which the toner image is transferred and the softening point (Tmp) of the transparent resin is in the range from 1.degree. C. to 30.degree. C. lower than the softening point (Tmt) of the toner.
