ABSTRACT:
A method of forming a photographic image comprising imagewise exposing a silver halide color photographic material comprising a support having thereon a cyan color image forming layer, a magenta color image forming layer and an yellow color image forming layer, wherein the cyan color image forming layer in the photographic material contains silver halide emulsion grains having a silver chloride content of 95 mol % or more and containing substantially no silver iodide and contains a color sensitizing dye of the following general formula (I), ##STR1## wherein the terms are as defined in the specification and color developing the exposed material with a color developer, wherein the color developer has a chloride ion content of from 3.5.times.10.sup.-2 to 1.5.times.10.sup.-1 mol/liter and a bromide ion content of from 1.5.times.10.sup.-5 to 1.0.times.10.sup.-3 mol/liter.
