ABSTRACT:
An image forming unit100has a main body1and an opening unit22that can be opened and closed with respect to the main body1. An installation unit99is provided to install the secondary transfer roller20in the opening unit22so that a secondary transfer roller20of the opening unit22can move within a predetermined space within a bearing holder25. When the opening unit22is closed, the secondary transfer roller20presses against an opposing roller21of the main body1. A groove32in the main body1is formed in a direction different from a trajectory on which the shaft20aof the secondary transfer roller20moves when closing the opening unit22. The shaft20aof the secondary transfer roller20is inserted into the groove32while moving within the predetermined space.
