ABSTRACT:
It is intended to provide an image forming apparatus capable of securing rotation transmission accuracy among input/output axes without giving stress to a holding portion despite shaft misalignment and without using material of high strength. A color printer1comprises a main body2and an image forming unit30removable from the main body2. The main body2includes a gear43for receiving rotary driving force to the image forming unit30and a joint45and the image forming unit30has a coupling36for receiving rotary driving force from the main body2. Furthermore, a joint holder section43afor the gear43and the coupling36has a contact hole47, and contact hole36a, respectively and both ends of the joint45are inserted in those holes. The contact holes47and36aare in not-twisted triangle pole shape and the joint45is in twisted triangle pole shape.
