ABSTRACT:
An image display apparatus includes an image memory for storing at least one original image defined by predetermined original image parameters including at least original image size data S.sub.R, original image pixel size data .DELTA.l.sub.R, and magnification data .alpha. with respect to an object, a D/A converter and a display for displaying an externally supplied image which is defined by predetermined display parameters including at least display size data S.sub.D and display pixel size data .DELTA.l.sub.D, and an enlargement/reduction processor, a transfer controller, a display controller, and a console for reading out the original image stored in the image memory, changing the image parameters of the readout original image in association with the display parameters, and supplying the image whose image parameters are changed to the D/A converter and the display.
