ABSTRACT:
When combining a plurality of original images, an image combining and outputting apparatus adjusts the balance of the original images to facilitate the outputting of a favorable combined image. Suitable size information5013is stored as attribute information501of a background image500whose size is not to be adjusted. The size of the input image is adjusted by magnifying or reducing the input image so that the size becomes equal to the size given in the suitable size information5013. The adjusted input image is then combined with the background image to produce a combined image that is outputted.
