ABSTRACT:
A pushbutton switch mechanism has board28incorporating an electronic circuit thereon, metal sheet contact26disposed on board28, a light-transmissive pushbutton disposed in an opening defined in a casing of the electronic device for being pressed from outside, the light-transmissive pushbutton having outer key top22and presser25formed with rubber sheet24for contacting metal sheet contact26, and light-emitting elements27disposed on board28around presser25for applying light to a side surface of the presser25. Presser25has a conical shape having an upper surface as a bottom surface substantially aligned with a lower surface of key top22and a vertex for contacting metal sheet contact26. Light emitted from light-emitting elements27is applied to the entire side surface of presser25.
