ABSTRACT:
An illumination device includes a light source part for emitting light with an intensity distribution approximately uniform in a first direction and a fly-eye lens into which the light is entered. The light source part and the fly-eye lens are arranged such that the first direction is inclined with respect to vertical and horizontal directions of arrangement of lens cells in the fly-eye lens. Since illumination light is entered into the fly-eye lens in a state of inclining with respect to the fly-eye lens, the number of superimposition patterns on the fly-eye lens is increased and illuminance non-uniformity in illumination light is suppressed.
