A lighting device is provided that surface-emits the light evenly with less number of luminous bodies by comprising a transparent body2for light diffusion in a shape of a body of rotation having a center bore11and provided with a luminous surface2cand a light introducing surface2b, and multiple luminous bodies3that introduce the light into the light introducing surface2cof the transparent body2and make the luminous surface2cof the transparent body2surface-emit the light, wherein the light introducing surface2bis arranged on an inner peripheral section forming the center bore11of the transparent body2, a reflecting layer41is arranged to reflect the light on a surface other than the light introducing surface2band the luminous surface2cof the transparent body2, and the light from the luminous bodies3is emitted toward an outer surrounding surface2eof the transparent body2.
