ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides an illuminating apparatus capable of carrying out an illumination operation excellently by guiding the light from light sources to an illuminating member efficiently, and having a low price. The illuminating apparatus is provided with a pointer2adapted to be turned around a rotary shaft1, a dial3positioned on a rear side of the pointer2and constituting a display member to be transmission illuminated, light-emitting diodes6positioned on a rear side of the dial3and in the vicinity of the rotary shaft1and constituting light sources for illuminating index portions13of the dial3, a case20positioned on the rear side of the dial3and constituting a reflector provided with a reflecting portion30, and a light guide member19positioned on the rear side of the dial3and adapted to guide the light from the light-emitting diodes6to the rear side of the dial3. A hollow portion29is formed between a rear surface of the dial3and case20, and an irradiation portion27adapted to apply the light to the interior of the hollow space29is provided on the light guide member19, the light from the light-emitting diodes6being applied from the irradiation portion27of the light guide member19to the interior of the hollow portion29, reflected on the reflecting portion30and illuminating the index portions13of the dial3.
