ABSTRACT:
Improved immunoassays for the protection of antibodies againstLawsonia intracellularisare provided which permit rapid, easy detection of low concentrations of anti-Lawsoniaantibodies in animal-derived specimens. The preferred assay is an ELISA assay employing an antigenic extract ofL. intracellularislipopolysaccharide.
