ABSTRACT:
There is disclosed an ignition timing control system for an internal combustion engine which comprises a reference ignition signal generator, advance means for leading the ignition timing according to the number of engine revolutions, control means for controlling the ignition timing according to the pressure change in the intake pipe which varies with the engine load, a retard circuit for shifting the ignition timing by a selected retard angle with respect to the ignition timing which is determined by said advance means, and means for controlling the electric elements in said retard means to determine the retard angle thereof so as to cancel variation in the ignition timing due to atmospheric pressure change.
