ABSTRACT:
A detecting means for detecting an alternating signal produced by a pickup coil in timed relationship with engine rotation is provided by a circuit including in combination a P-N-P transistor and an N-P-N transistor. The temperature effects of these transistors, each of which has a characteristic which shifts with respect to the operating level thereof, compensate each other and the current through the ignition coil is thereby controlled in response to the output of the detecting means independent of the effects of temperature.
