ABSTRACT:
A flexible rubber strip or sheet is described which is useful as surfacing material on an idler pulley or the like. The rubber strip includes a row of openings along each end. A pair of spaced-apart metal strips is secured to each end of the rubber strip. A portion of each metal strip is exposed in the openings to enable it to be welded to the surface of a pulley to secure the rubber strip to the pulley to thereby provide a wear surface.
