ABSTRACT:
A bacterial cell product orally administered to lower serum cholesterol and/or triglyceride level in mammals obtained by cultivating a microorganism belonging to the genus Streptococcus and having a N-acetyl-.beta.-D-glucosaminidase activity in an adequate culture medium therefor, and collecting the cultivated microorganism from the resultant culture.
