ABSTRACT:
A dihydrofuran-containing nonlinear optical chromophore having a π-electron donor group conjugated to the dihydrofuran group through a π-electron conjugated bridge group. The nonlinear optical chromophore is a hyperpolarizable chromophore that can be used as an electro-optic modulator in electro-optic devices.
