ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to hydroxylated derivatives of vitamin D.sub.2, to processes for preparing such compounds, to intermediates utilized in such processes and to certain isotopically labelled vitamin D.sub.2 compounds.
The vitamin D.sub.2 derivatives would find application in the treatment of or prophylaxsis for various disease states characterized by calcium and phosphorous imbalances and as a substitute for vitamin D.sub.3 and its metabolites in their various applications.
