ABSTRACT:
A hydrogen-occlusion alloy for an electrode of a sealed-type storage battery, said alloy comprising SLmNi.sub.a Co.sub.b Al.sub.c M.sub.d wherein SLm is a mixture of at least 70 wt. % lanthanum, 20 wt. % or less of neodymium and at least one other rare earth element, M is silicon or germanium, and a, b, c and d are as follows: 3.0.ltoreq.a.ltoreq.3.8, 0.6.ltoreq.b<1.4, 0.3.ltoreq.c.ltoreq.0.7 and d is 0.01.ltoreq.d.ltoreq.0.05 when M is silicon and d is 0.01.ltoreq.d.ltoreq.0.3 when M is germanium.
